PhD, LCSW-S, EOLD

Founder

Hi, I'm Ian (he/they) and I'm a multimodal healing practitioner. My approach in social work, end-of-life doula work, and clinical supervision centers warmth, collaboration, humor, and creativity.

I became interested in supporting aging and end-of-life while in college, when I worked in the dining hall of an assisted living residence. Upon reflection, this drive was shaped by many of my early life experiences with serious illness, death and dying, caregiving, and the complexities that ongoing mental health, intergenerational family trauma, and substance use bring to aging and caregiving.

In my fifteen years of experience as a social worker in a diverse array of communities-- New York City, Seattle, East Tennessee, and now South Texas-- I've specialized in emotional well-being among older people. This has included genocide survivors, LGBTQ+ older adults, older people in early recovery from substance abuse, those on compassionate release, home-based treatment with people who couldn't access outpatient mental health, older adults displaced by climate disasters, and unhoused and formerly unhoused people over 50.
