Counseling
Our experienced, caring staff offer short-term online therapy for individuals, families, friends, and circles of care facing age-related transitions, serious illness prognoses, grief/bereavement, and caregiving. Our approach is eclectic and relationship-focused.

For Texas residents, we are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum, Cigna, Aetna, United, Carelon, and Quest. We also offer sliding scale and out-of-network options.

Support Groups
We offer virtual support groups facilitated by a licensed social worker. Typically, our groups meet for 90 minutes and are short-term commitments (6-15 weeks) meant to foster community and mutual aid around a shared experience.Reach out to us if you are looking for a specific type of support group. We want to be responsive to community needs!
End of Life Doula Services
End-of-life doulas provide emotional, informational, practical and spiritual support to the dying person and their circle of care. This can happen at any stage, from first contemplating mortality to serious illness diagnosis to after death. End-of-life doulas support you making your own decisions about and during end-of-life. Learn more about what end-of-life doulas are here.
We offer virtual doula services via video calls, phone calls, and text message, as well as bedside support during active dying for those in the San Antonio area.

Supervision
If you are a licensed master of social work (LMSW) in the state of Texas and are interested in earning hours toward your clinical licensure (LCSW), we want to support you to gain expertise in facilitating therapy surrounding issues of aging, serious illness, and caregiving. We offer individual supervision and group rates for those who have other eligible work without on-site opportunities to earn licensure hours, or can offer contracted opportunities.
Consultation
Lanternlight can offer capacity-building services and professional development training to government, healthcare, and non-profit organizations. Our focus and expertise is strengthening the bridge between community-based housing and behavioral health services and eldercare, healthcare, and social programs for older adults. Past consultation projects have included building aging-in-place capacity within permanent supportive housing, harm reduction and trauma-informed care for eldercare and caregiving service professionals, serious illness communication in street outreach, and LGBTQ+ cultural responsiveness in eldercare and homelessness services.
